I designed this alternate Hot Wheels tracks and adapters to allow for my nephew to play with his cool original tracks & cars with the adition to play with a quick and easy fitting / unfitting of the tracks. These are not high speed tracks, these are mostly used for custom building / designing tracks, taking into account the kids little hands and needs for customization and puzzling. The adapters ase used to snap together the original tracks to this new ones. My nephew allways asked me to fit the tracks and I am tired. This way he quickly designs his own tracks without asking for any help. All parts fit in a 200x200mm buildplate. Support for adapters required. This parts prints easily, Some parts make possible a 3D track build like the slopes and building supports. Maybe you are wondering why I designed this so sturdy... Well, you don't know my nephew...
UPDATE (11-OCT-2016) Left track crossover added. 100+ parts printed. Pics soon. Also working in bodyworks for cars.
UPDATE (20-SEP-2016): Going 3D!! Four new parts added consisting on up and down slopes, and corresponding rotating building supports. All this four new parts require support for printing. Also added a stackable support multiple floors. My nephew and my printers are gonna kill me!!!
UPDATE (19-SEP-2016): As I feared my nephew started to ask for new parts, a tunnel or a bridge, so I designed a thing that could be both... Print it verticaly with buildplate only support. Holes are fine without support because they are at 45º angles. Hope this to be enough for the kid in a while, as I have no more time for this at the moment.
Enjoy.
