Summary

The Easter Egg Dispenser Egg... is an egg shaped container that dispenses small Easter Eggs (or sweets / lollies) out the bottom by rotating the top parts of the eggs to open a chute out the bottom.

To use the dispenser just unscrew the top of the egg from the centre section and fill with small Easter Eggs and / or sweets. Invert the dispenser to screw back together while ensuring the dispenser is 'closed' so none of the contents can dispense until required. While upright, or slightly angled, rotate the top sections to allow the chute to open and an egg or sweet to come out the base... then enjoy it!.

Assembly is easy, particularly if you use a light lubricant on the joining / moving surfaces. Well sliced and printed dispensers should result in the base and centre sections being a push 'snap together' fit that allows free rotation between the parts once joined... then do not separate again (...this could break the joining parts). The top of the dispenser can then be filled and screwed into the centre section (already clipped into the base).

The dispenser is designed to allow eggs or sweets of up to 35mm (max) in any dimension to feed out through a chute in the base of the egg. Just rotate the top two parts of the dispenser (screw together) to open and close the opening into the base part and out the bottom. It's a simple system...

Although the completed dispenser is quite large because it is made up of three parts it can be printed on many machines with small build volumes. As long as you can print X / Y greater than 115mm (i.e. diameter) and Z greater than 108mm (height) you will be able to print this. Fully assembled the dispenser is 115mm x 158mm.

This is a fun and easy print but does take quite a lot of print time (will vary depening on the slicing app used and machine) because or the size necessary for a reasonable capacity of small Easter Eggs / sweets. A small amount of scaling down is possible but too much will make the parts impossible to assemble. Scaling up should be no problem.

Make your dispenser unique by printing the sections in your own preference of colour. Translucent filaments are great with this design as you can see the a small amount of the colour of the contents inside.

Please refer to the print settings instructions and images for additional information... and post images of your dispenser/s for other members to see.

Tips: Tips are not expected but are appreciated as they help offset my filament costs as much as anything else. However, as I live outside the USA tips cannot be sent to me via PayPal.Me as that service is not supported in my region and this is beyond Thingverse's control. If you feel like sending a tip please use regular PayPal and send it to [email protected] and, to those who do, thanks in advance!
