As promised, I have completely redone the silhouette of the Explorer Ship with out any of its original parts and, retained its design intent. But this is not the Cortez. This is my own take on the Explorer Ships original design intent as the vessel more than likely predates the Babylon Project. This is the Styx Class Planet Killer.
This Ships Starframe is completely hollow. The Platform for a ship of this magnitude not being uploaded would be a shame. So the Platform STL is available and configurable by the downloader. It’s a true to form multipurpose Vessel.
This is a Planet Killer. Broadsides are completely filled with thermo nuclear missles, whilst the Forecastle and Stern are provide substantial firepower. The Ship in both configurations has a central rotating Habitat, however the Habitat has 8 axial mounted Engines on the rotating section to provide superior maneuverability in an attack run. It’s clear that the Forecastle is also designed in a way in which Commandeer Stike Groups can Launch as well. This Ship marks the end of Earth Forces connection to the Babylon Project, subsequentailly facing civil war riots on Mars, Proxima 3 and various other Colonies and Outposts. Babylon 5 is sent a strike group to seize the Station as part of the unveiling of this ships launch. With the help of the Minbari, Babylon 5 is the last truly free Earth Force outpost left in exile just as the Shadow involvement with Earth is leaked on ISN.
Earth isn’t going to let what happened previously happen again, or get involved with the Shadow War. However Earth is prepared to Strike Zahadum and the Vorlon Home World if needed. The Ships main intent is to destroy the Vorlon and Shadow Defenses and destroy them for superior dominance and command of the stars. This is that Super Ship. Although unknowing the Vorlons and Shadows have Planet Killers of their own, Earth has now stepped into the sidelines waiting for the perfect time to strike whilst the rest of the races are war torn. Earth to then emerge as a hero, but not for long. This is a Clark Era Vessel, with the Clark Mantra in full effect. This Ship would be part of a massive Task Force.
The redesign was substantial. So please print low and slow, scale it, make it a big one. Get all that detail I’ve put into this.
Also I have just added a Solar Panels up configuration.
