Ladies and Gentleman, this is the follow up the to Minbari Dreadnought. In this alternate reboot sort of remix, these Frigates are tasked with Capitol Ship like missions. Also, they are tasked with taking down the mighty Minbari Dereadnoughts and oppressing Mars, Proxima 3, others and handling any renegade ships while also being gentle enough to reclaim Babylon 5 should it succeed from the Earth Alliance.
Yes, this is the President Clark mad man’s direct orders. Weather it be convoy escort, fighting the Shadows or Vorlons, or starting a war with the Minbari directly to force the Shadows and Vorlons to fight alone, Earthforce now has options instead of making the Capitol ships handle everything.
Let’s explain the story here. ISN leaks the Minbari Dreadnoughts Helios imagery. The xenophobia is now back into the extreme on Earth, and the propaganda machine goes into full effect. From the Babylon 5 Prospective, a choice has to be made. Mars and other colonies try to protest against this, and push their weight to not engage into any sustained war yet again with the now known first ones. This collision, cuts off all diplomatic communication with Babylon 5. Earth is going rouge. The year now is 2260. The Vorlons are leaving Babylon 5, the Centari and Narn are now at War, the Minbari are trying to explain the Shadow War is still coming as B5 states there is not enough resources to fight them, and that Dreadnought could cause friction between Earth and the Minbari all over again.
The Shadows pause all planned attacks on other races when both first ones Races see a group of Heracles H, (Heavy) Ships jump right on top of the Dreadnought along with Capitol Bombers and destroying the ship entirely. The Minbari are leaving Babylon 5 immediately. War is now declared by the Minbari on Earth. The Styx Class Planet Killers are now formed into major task forces with both variants of Frigates. Mars and Proxima 3 are also attacked by Earth Force. As some Earth Force Delta & Omega’s are fighting off aggressive EF ships, they make a desperate run to Babylon 5. On route the fleeing ships intercept a message. Babylon 5 is to be repurposed into a Military base of operations and all command staff detained by psicore to gather information on other races. Earth is now at war with the Minbari.
This is the spark of the match. The Shadows are waiting along with the Vorlons. Earth and Minbari Forces are preparing for a long prolonged war. The Babylon Project has failed. If there were to be any Peace, it would be one hell of a miracle.
So what was modeled here is the notion of the Royal Navy in modern times. Not enormous capital ships, but extremely advanced, versatile, strategic, and highly aggressive ships with maximum adaptability & survivability. I will include more technical details tomorrow. But for now, here they are.
