With the ever changing dynamic of politics within the alternative story line I’ve been progressing thru; I’ve decided that it would be best to add more ships to face the ever present changing dangers and challenges that lay ahead. This is an example of that, and the title says it all.

This is a Hyperion Cruiser heavily modified to provide options for Earthforce among the many challenges and wars breaking out at this point in the narrative. This Cruiser, the Archias Class Rim Cruiser is designed to patrol “The Rim”. She’s modified for speed and if needed me first contact protocol and defenses spear heading a scouting based mission.

If we take a step back in time, the Narn and Centari are at war, Earthforce has destroyed a Minbari Dreadnought with Commandeer capability. This is a huge security issue as an Earthforce ship could be overrun and piloted into a task force as a “Trojan Horse”. The Vorlons have been pushed by Earth Force to confront the Shadows alone, which has limited the Shadows younger races manipulation and domination tactic. With the Minbari tooling up I for a future war which is turning into an arms race; all things considered; Earth making contact with the first ones and having a clear picture and understanding of the First ones is a great opptertunity that can not be missed. Also, with the Minbari now trading honor and code with cast dominance reallocation, this could be Earths last best hope for survival. The Minbari are putting into effect what they learned from the last war. Now it’s time for a new playbook. The Last wars tactics wont turn into the next war, and with so many ballon’s up in the air, it’s only a matter of time until one falls.

The mission is to have a versatile long range long term operational heavy cruiser out on the Rim to cover this Goal. Take a good look around as much has changed. More Big Guns, New Engine, multilevel size replenishment Hanger bays Midships. This is a mission oriented design. These ships would also be working in small task forces with are currently in the final stages of development. Other new design ships to support this story arch are also in progress. The key to the challenges ahead will be adaptability and survivability with the help of long range hard copy communications Courier Vessels. This is a deep dive for Earth Force gearing up in so many vast directions and in this arch, put long term operations into the unknown. More ships in process, bases as well. So stay stuned.
