So after seeing the dymaxion map I was inspired to create a dymaxion death star to go with the x-wing and tie fighter ornaments I made last winter.

I modified the icosohedral corner to remove some material and I found the original ended up with extra material at the point that made attaching the panels more difficult. I used 100% fill on this piece for strength but it probably could have been done at lower.
I use a K40 laser so the panels are laid out to fit the 300 x 200 mm area.
I used #8 x 1/2" self-tapping hex head screws for assembling the panels to the icosohedral corners.
