The file 'Dryer Exhaust Vent Flap 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 332.8KB.
The dryer exhaust port outside my house has 3 flaps which blow open when the dryer is running and close when the air stops. One of the flaps recently broke, necessitating a replacement.
Approximate dimensions:Body of flap: 104mm (width) x 32mm (height) x 1.5mm (thickness)
Retention tabs: 2.5mm (diameter) x 4.3mm (length)
In the USA, dryer exhaust temperatures are regulated to NOT exceed 180°F (82°C). Since it will also be used outdoors, sun/heat are also factors to consider when choosing a print material. As you probably know, the glass transition temperatures for common 3D filaments are:
PLA: 60°C
PETG: 88°C
ABS: 105°C
Therefore, PLA is NOT recommended for this print! PETG would be the minimum, with ABS being probably the more ideal material.
