Update 1/11/15: included a version 2.0 of whorl (wheel part). Also included a new .scad file so you can tweak this new version yourself.
Update 1/5/15: I fixed a problem with the wheel file. No longer has an embossed name on it and should print with no errors.
Drop spindle based on an 8mm shaft size. You may need to do some hand tooling after printing for perfection. The inside hole of the whorl may need to be reamed out to fit the spindle. The idea is to use a piece of filament with some glue or acetone mix to glue the two halves of the spindle together. This is so you can print the pieces (3) on a small work bed. You will need to use "supporting material" in order to print a cylinder shape lying flat on the work bed. You will need to drill out with a 3mm drill bit the supporting material so you can insert some filament to bind the two spindle sections together. If you have questions, let me know. Please feel free to use, modify, improve etc this design. Sheep, wool, fiber, spin, spinning, alpaca, whorl, drop, spindle etc.
