The file 'Drop Off Dolly And Cradle For Eclipson Fox 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 275.0KB.
Update 11/20/24: I just added a file for a Work Cradle that has clearance for the belly wheel, so that you can sit the fuselage on a table to work on it or to attach the wing panels.
If you have a concrete or well-manicured grass runway and poor hand launch skills like me, you may want to try this drop off dolly for your Eclipson FOX motor glider. It slides snugly over the wheel on the belly and is held on in the rear by a small piece of Velcro, which allows it to drop off once the plane leaves the ground. I was involved in the beta testing of this plane and used it on all of my test flights without a problem. All of the Velcro on the dolly is Velcro Loop and is mainly to provide cushion between the cradle and the bottom of the plane. The one piece at the rear of the dolly mates up with a small piece of Velcro Hook on the fuselage bottom to hold the rear of the cradle up until it drops off after takeoff. Make sure the hook Velcro on the fuselage is small enough to release the dolly when lifted up, as shown in the video. I used 1/8" Dural gear axles and store bought foam tires on mine, but a long 3mm Allen bolt and 3d printed tire and rim would also suffice.
