I have finally used my last replacement part on a broken kitchen drawer. These have been the bane of my existence for the last 30 years. It was about time to upgrade these weak links.
I decided to create a stronger post by maximizing the flange-to-post interface. The incarnation I am using allows for roughly 1-1/2" clearance behind the drawer. I will add posts of less clearance as they are requested.
The beauty of this model, other than the improved strength of the post-flange interface, is that is uses the same holes as the original making installation easy.
I chose PETG as it typically has great layer adhesion. Use a solid-wall infill like honeycomb to maximize this property.
