I wanted to create something on my own for Christmas this year that would be easy to print. These take around 35 minutes each and require no supports. I relied on the use of Tinkercad and some tutorials but was able to do these first items. I used a free-use dove image and drew the others characters in paint,NET. See included deer screenshot.
Each ornament has a slightly higher outline than the circle so that the focus character can be outlined in a different colour filament via a simple filament swap at the intended layer height. The background features are set to various thicknesses to give the simple ornaments a more dimensional look. For example I tried drawing a layered mountain range behind the deer. The thin parts let the light pass through and look quite interesting when placed against christmas lights in your tree.
I hope you enjoyed my contribution. Feedback and comments welcome. Please like if you enjoyed and post your makes. Thanks!
