DISCLAIMER: Apparently I'm not capable ob correctly connecting the cables on my first test which is why I got a useless signal. Hence I can say that the signal that I got was strong but useless and I can't yet guarantee that the antenna actually works. Further attempts will follow.

This is a complete redesign of my old foldable Double Cross Antenna which is now made from aluminium instead of PVC pipes. This design can't fold anymore but can still be quickly dismantled.

With this antenna you can receive the analog signal from some old NOAA weather satellites which constantly transmit images directly from orbit. I've got the idea from this site which provides more details about how to set up the software and other things so you should head there first. There you can also find this PDF on which my antenna is based.

This project is absolutely beginner friendly if you are willing to put some effort into it. You might need to stock up on some gear however (details below) and it can take some time but it absolutely is worth it in the end.

Note that I am not a professional and my knowledge about antennas and electrical engineering is very limited. If you know better than me or see that my instructions do something weird then please let me know.
