My Sister has a string of Jingle Bells on her door, and her dog would "announce" he wanted to go out by whacking his tail into them, and they would inevitably crash to the ground. They also tended to fall when you pushed the door handle down.
So I made a little snap-on clip to hold it on there, and it works great.
It can prevent just about anything from "flying off the handle".
For 23mm / .90" handle stems. You can probably scale it, if your handle is a different size.
