I've called this one the Dogmatix-600. It's a little front-prop 600mm delta wing designed for lightweight PLA vase mode printing.
You will need:
5mm x 2mm magnets
Short bits of 3mm tube or rod
22mm motor with 16mm and 19mm hole pattern
Accurate 9g servos
800-1000mAh battery
Receiver and ESC
The magnets are used for the canopy, and the tube/rod is for the aileron hinge on the wing tips.
Most of the lightweight PLA parts were designed to be printed in vase mode. The canopy needs to be printed normally, and there are some small parts that I print in ABS. The files are marked for printing style.
I've added a second LW-PLA-Vase-Fuse-2-Alt-v1 to try and get a more comfortable way to hand-launch the model, so have a look at which one you prefer before printing.
Some tips for setting up the plane:
I hot glue the servo into the servo cover and then glue that into the servo bay. I use CA to glue the rest together.
Some of the ABS parts like the wing tip/hinge are quite small so require drilling with a 3mm drill before adding the rod for the hinge.
The elevons are fairly large, so make sure you have decent servos that center well.
For your lower rate, 12-15mm of travel is plenty.
Add a decent amount of expo.
Add reflex. If you are using the CG marks, then 3mm at the tip and 6mm at the root of the elevon is a good place to start. You can move the CG back and decrease the reflex a bit after the maiden.
Hope you enjoy this one.
