Summary

I found the original grips hard to hold and not very ergonomic; the problem being the location of the grip: it isn't close to the center of mass and because of that the controllers are very unbalanced when held on their own, forcing you to hold it awkwardly and makes pushing the buttons and joystick noticeably harder. This design intends to fix that; I modeled it after the wii nunchucks since they seemed to be a one-hand device that works pretty well.
I've used these for a while now and they work really well. I can really feel a strong difference in grip and they feel much easier to use, especially with my d-pad modded joycon.

Printing:

I don't know much about printing yet, but i do know this: print them horizontally. There is a thin, weak bit at the top of the grip and if it doesn't 'go with the grain' (the layers), it will break off easily. I might be able to fix that by making it thicker, but honestly I can't be bothered right now: this design works and it's good enough.

I've also included a flat version if you want a starting point to add your own handle/attachment
