Update!
I tinkered with the design a bit over the years. I went for a stronger design and made the code much more robust. There are now alignment features for gluing. I also added a peg to keep the dice from spilling out on my way to a session. Thank you for downloading. Please share your makes!
Inspration:
I instantly loved the dice tower by Platcham but saw room for improvement.
I wanted less material, different magnets, easier print, and reduced print time.
This is the result. I hope you like it.
Dice Size:
The uploaded model is designed to suit my dice where the D20 is roughly 21mm diameter. You may need to scale the models (or use the customizer) to suit your dice.
Magnet Details:
This model suits cylindrical magnets 4mm diameter. 2mm thick.
19 magnets for the tower and 6 for the drawer. Be VERY careful when installing the magnets so that positive and negative points match. Images are provided and there is a very good guide available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2511974 .
If you dont want to use magnets, elastic bands work very well to keep everything together.
