My Nikon Z30 and Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens with FTZ adapter is too front heavy for the DJI Ronin SC gimbal, so I made this counterweight to sit just below the camera.
With this, perfect balance can be achieved. Simply press some 3/8 inch tungsten pinewood derby weights in the holes and cap off with hot glue.
If your camera is severely front heavy, this likely will not provide adequate counterbalance. If your camera is just barely front heavy, tungsten may not be necessary. Steel BBs or similar will likely do the trick.
Note: The counterweight extends slightly above the dovetail bar, which may interfere with your camera. Use the spacer included with your gimbal if necessary.
