The file 'DIY Wifi Laser Cutter And Engraver With 3D Printed Parts 3D Printer Model' is (ods, xlsx, pdf, skp, stl) file type, size is 197.6KB.
Variant of the DIY laser cutter from smartDIYs using 3D printed parts.
Assembly is similar as http://en.smartdiys.com/smart-laser-mini/ but cutting area is bigger 330*330 mm
I have used black open builds 500mm extrusion for y-axis and x-axis, frame is assembled using two additional 430mm beams.
I have bought the extrusion and all mechanical parts in europe at http://www.ratrig.com/
Quality is great!
I have created simple 80mm feet and a holder for the laser to fit to 70mm beam fitted on x-axis. In addition you will find the stepper, idler and plate that need to be printed 3 times each.
Electronics use Arduino Uno clone with GRBL shield V3.0 and 3 A4988 drivers. Power distribution and keyboard/led board done with Adafruit perma-proto PCBs and UBEC.
The Arduino runs the GRBL V0.9g firmware with mr-beam fork.
The arduino is connected to a raspberry pi running Octopi modified for Mr Beam laser cutter to allow operation over wifi.
See Mr Beam page for how to download these great software
Laser diode is M140 2W 445nm driven by TTL driver.
All wires are protected by a printed cable chain (Thing 34661).
Endstops are fixed thru holes drilled in the stepper and idler plates
