The file 'DIY Brompton Luggage Front Rack 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.6MB.
Just created my own robust and light weight luggage rack for brompton. The tubes are 16mm tarp poles from amazon. Connections are simply rivets (4mm hole drilled) and a M5 thread (cut in one go into PETG + aluminum).
Choose the length of the vertical tubes to your need and in a way that they do not collide with the brake cables.
First print the dimension checker and verify that your poles match this piece. If so, you are ready to print two end blocks and the center block. Choose infill as you wish (I used 50%). This construction seems very robust to me (no long time experience right now).
Later on I intend to make youtube presentation on this.
The parts (especially the tube diameter) is controlled by a FreeCAD-parameter-spreadsheet so (nearly) fully parametric. I intend to post these FreeCAD-files on request/later on.
