Summary

I wanted to make my own battery pack for the Oculus Quest 2 with Elite Strap because I couldn't get the pricier strap with battery.

I saw 2 great projects on here that helped me make the final design. It's sort of a mix between those 2, but remade in SolidWorks in order to fit my needs.

Thanks for the great design of the 18650 battery holder:

For the electronics part, I used 3 x 18650 Li-Ion batteries in parallel to gain more mAh. The charger/discharger circuit is a cheap one like this. I wanted this model because it has a USB Type-C for charging the pack and Type-A for charging the Quest. I also bought a 50cm cable to run by the side of the headset. The circuit supports simultaneous charging and discharging, so it never has to be disconnected from the headset even when charging. It also has auto turn off when the headset is charged.

Assembly can be done however you like for the batteries. I used 4 end caps and 2 middle caps because of the 3 cells, but you can also use only 2 cells.

Be sure to check the 2 projects I mentioned for assembly info on those specific parts. If needed, I can also provide the info in comments or a video.
