The file 'DIY Alarm Clock Laser Cut & 3D Print 3D Printer Model' is (ai,zip,STL,stl) file type, size is 58.3MB.
I recently bought a DIY clock kit from Banggood and wanted to make my own enclosure. This is the result. It is based on a design from I like to make stuff on Youtube.
There are two versions of the model one with finger joints and one without finger joints.
I currently haven't made it yet but I will upload photos as soon as I made it. So if you can make it before I can please upload a picture I would love to see it.
Perks
The models also includes a bill of materials that shows all the products you need. I have also included a link to the product using my Banggood referral code.
Scaling
Scaling can be done in two ways. You can scale the model in adobe illustrator. Another way of scaling the model is to edit the equations text file. When you decide to change the model you will need to make a new drawing a good tutorial for that is found here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZrGLonrpt8&t=191s
A handy tip for converting the drawings to Adobe Illustrator is to change the border colors to red. System options/colors/visible model edges
Notes
Interested in buying one please contact me via the Thingiverse or GrabCAD messenger. I could also include a custom engraving into the model. The price depends on the size and shipping cost. Don't worry I won't charge much since I love to build stuff.
Thanks to Nicolas Matthey, Project_118, Mechatronics Art for letting me use their models.
