Summary

I was looking for a Dire Wolf mini for a DND game I'm running. One of the players is playing a Paladin who has a Dire Wolf as their Faithful Steed. I wasn't able to find a suitable mini, but I found Remix hugolours posted here:

I made some edits:
I removed the base from the model to aid in printing with supports and removing the support material in post. I also needed the base to be completely round. I considered making the base on the reference model round, but opted to go this route in order to simplify the post-processing, removal of the support material, and painting the underside of the wolf. I've included an stl of a simple two-inch disc I modeled and intended to print and use as a base, but I opted to go with the purchased base as shown in the photos. The bases as shown in the photos are linked below.

Next, I added the structure at the top to allow a character mini to stand on top to reflect them mounting it. The base on the Paladin model measures 32mm at the bottom, which is bigger than the bases found on most third-party minis, such as WizKids. As such, a 26mm or 28mm mini's base should still fit and still stand up on the mount without issue.
