Summary

dipole antenna frame / clamp / support. Ideal for 868 mhz lora ( meshtastic ). It is used to modify a cheap short collinear antenna into an efficient dipole.
You can use it for any freqency as long as all the elements have the same diameter.
Here are the steps to make it:

  1. disassemble the antenna.
  2. solder a piece of coax instead of the old active element.
  3. Make the new elements for your frequency. I used steel antennas which often come included with radio gear. You can use copper wire or some rod with 1.5-1.6 mm diameter. Make sure the length is precisely tuned for the desired frequency.
  4. Insert everything in the 3d printed frame, solder, glue, and close it.

! bottom and top halves are identical so you just print the model twice. !
