This is simply an aggregation of the ship and tank models made by Oana. Big thanks to Oana for making the pieces avaialble!
I find it easier to position them in openscad than to let the slicer do it. I use cura and placing things in a reasonable pattern is not it's strength.
I've placed 12 ships and 12 tanks on the plate. This is the same number of tokens as Avalon Hill puts in their 50th anniversary edition of the Diplomacy game.
I've included the openscad file in case you want to space or arrange them differently. The code should be self explanatory. You need to download Oana's models ONLY if you want to use the openscad file.
Simply print one set for each of the countries / players as follows:
Country | Color |
---|---|
Austria | red |
England | dark blue |
France | light blue |
Germany | black |
Italy | green |
Russia | white |
Turkey | yellow |
These are the colors specified in the Diplomacy game. You can, of course, use any colors you like.
As noted by Oana, no support is needed. I printed without a brim and my prints did just fine. Makes it much easier without a brim because you don't have to cut them out.
Because the models are so simple, you can print at low resolution and end up with very acceptable results. I printed at 0.3 layer height, and 25% infill. On my Monoprice IIIP it only takes about 45 minutes per set that way and they look just fine.
