This 2.5D Stegosaurus is a member of the three layered animal (tla) family. The upright plates on the back of the stegosaurus make it pretty memorable. Unfortunately the simplification lead to a loss of the tail spikes, which are quite interesting as well.
This build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft from 6.5 mm beech plywood using a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute. After machining it needed a little sanding and simple gluing together.
A laser cutter might be a good alternative tool to create (even) smaller versions.
Probably you could make a aluminum version and screw the parts together to get tiny key fob.
