This is an adapter for the Starbucks Barista portafilter (or Saeco Rio-Vapore, and maybe other 54mm portafilters) for the DF64E espresso grinder.
The adapter sits nice and snug in the DF64E holder and stays there. You can easily place the portafilter into it. The catch-cup is designed to fit with the adapter. Also the catch-cup inside diameter is the same as the portafilter basket, so you can tamp through the catch-cup and avoid a mess (handy if you overfill the portafilter all the time like I do).
In your slicer, you'll need some supports for the outer tabs and top "hooks" of the adapter. The catch cup should be printed upside-down (as the model is provided) and needs no supports.
