Ever needed a good 14.4v or 18v battery power supply? Own DeWalt power tools? The deWatt power adapter allows you to tap power from a 14.4v or 18v XRP battery!

To assemble:

  1. Get some 14 guage solid-core wire (I got mine from the hardware store, 14/2 wire, and stripped the insulation).
  2. Mark two pieces at 1cm, 2cm, and 4cm.
  3. Cut them at 4 cm and make 90-degree bends at 1cm and 2cm (see the photos for a better explanation).
  4. Solder wires onto the top part (using a torch or candle would work if a soldering iron or pen aren't available).
  5. Install the wires into the deWatt adapter and make sure the contacts are positioned correctly (see photos again).
  6. Install the cap using 2x 8mm M3 screws with nuts.
  7. If desired, install the latches using 2x 8mm M3 screws and M3 nuts.

The adapter works on both 14v and 18v XRP batteries without the latches, but adding the latches will ensure the deWatt doesn't fall off. An eyelet cap is also available so that the battery can hang from a hook (make sure the latches are installed!)

This hasn't been tested with 12v or regular 18v batteries...
