several years ago I started making my battery adapters for power tools
All my friends and coworkers asked me the same so I had to design for other battery brands...
I specially like ryobi 18ga nailers and I wanted the adapter to be a little more solid... enough to be dropped on the concrete floor without breaking.
So with this version, you'll find 3 makes of battery: makita, dewalt and milwaukee.
You print the adapter that fits your battery and you permanently fix/glue it to the tool.
This version is more adapted to be glued to ryobi tools (only 18 ga gun 23ga gun and inflator had been tested, but this should probably fit all ryobi tools!)
If you have a tool that is not ryobi, you will find my older version, that is made to fit on any tool (less specific)
I suggest using pro pla or an other high sturdiness material.
To connect the power from the battery to the tool, you will need 5 in of copper wire. 2 metal plates or washers (anything conductor that fits the battery slots) and 2 wire connectors like my last picture.
You will have to use long nose pliers to easily unfold the tool original connector before you fit yours.
Than you can glue the printed part to the tool using epoxy, hot glue gun, screws, etc. I suggest using a silicone based sealant as glue because it gives the adapter a better resistance to shocks as it is flexible.
Note don't screw too far in the tool as there is some electronics just under the battery location.
