Summary

I got tired of all the wood shavings my planer tossed on the floor. I researched buying this but was put off by the high price, north of $80. So I knocked out a design on TinkerCad. I printed test sections for fit testing first for the box to the planer and the tube to my vacuum hose/shop vac. I have a Sears Craftsman shop vac with a 2 1/4" OD hose. After printing the entire project with .8mm nozzle and PLA, I had to do a bit of filing on the inside of the tube to get rid of support points and some print artifacts and now the hose fits great.

The Dewalt planer has three 4mm attachment screw holes. I only printed a hole for the bottom screw. The two side screws will need to be marked and drilled once the part is complete if you want to use them.

If you bolt on this dust collector, then you can't fold up the out feed tray without unscrewing it every time. So, I fitted the top of the dust collector with a small toggle latch I had previously bought from Amazon with two #4 screws and two medium steel pop rivets. It works great and allows quick disconnection without a tool.

This should also fit the Dewalt DW734 planer also, but be sure to check for yourself.

This is my first contribution. Recommendations are welcome.
