Catch versions for both battery indicator (updated to v2) and non-indicator versions now added. Also catch v2. Added option to use a rubber band or similar to loop round catch lever if you don't have a spring available. Catch versions final unless people have problems/suggestions in which case don't hesistate to leave a comment..
I bought a load of "generic" 4ah hour dewalt batteries whose cases were made of matchwood and all broke at the catch on the slightest impact.
I don't know if I just am terrible at searching or there wasn't a case that fitted the existing internals from batteries with a 10 cell pack whilst still allowing it to charge but I gave up and got the calipers out.
Using secured-nor1's very clever design for inspiration and repurposing their case as a base I then rebuilt the connecting foot completely from scratch... about 5 times, using finest inexpert tinker cad and at least 50 seperate measurements of what can best be described as varying accuracy. I also shaved the sides of the box to allow for certain tools that have belt clips.
I also included a thin layer that can be printed in tpu for a seal or in other materials as a spacer if needed. 4 m3 bolts will hold the case together as per secured-nor1's original design or you can be like me and realise you don't have any and stick four unmatched wood screws through in shame
