This is a cap for the excellent Dewalt 735 planer dust extraction kit available from Builder Dads (www.builderdads.com). That kit modifies your Dewalt 735 planer to eject the chips and dust out the top instead of the back. It works really well and the owner (Dan) is awesome. That said, I didn't like the idea of leaving the 4" port open when my dust collection hose was not attached...it would be easy for something to fall in and go straight to the blades.
So....this I designed this simple friction-fit cap. Enjoy!
