Hello Everyone! I bought a DW007 6.5" Dewalt 24vdc circular saw second hand for 25 bucks with a bad NiCad battery. Instead of buying a new battery 100 bucks, I did what any "sane" person would do. I spent way to many hours and meters of filament printing an adaptor. There should be a link below to a you tube video on my channel of it in action as well as most of build montage. Apparently when you knock your camera off the table it corrupts the file you were recording, who knew? You will need some sheet metal 0.032" alum in my case, pliers, tin snips and some files would be helpful. I did my best to make it as easy as possible to put together but my 3d printing experience is about 1 week old so yeah.... :-) The trickiest thing is cutting out the terminal strips. I created 3d printable patterns to lay over the metal to trace out the pattern. Combine that with the .stp files of the whole model you should be able to modify it very easily to suit your 3d printers tolerances. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help. Please note this is to connect the 24vdc dewalt line of tools to the 18vdc milwaukee lithium batteries. Connecting a lower voltage battery to higher voltage tool can lead to high amp draws from the battery and lower rpm from the tool. I am using mine in a light duty way, for the most part, ok I will abuse it... Sheesh... :-)
