Summary

DESCRIPTION
These risers are designed to lift and rotate your Behringer MODEL D for ergonomic use on a desktop or other flat work surface. Each riser can be mounted with the two forward facing side panel screws currently installed on your MODEL D - no additional hardware required.

Optional features include 1) a decorative inlay that can be customized with your own designs and lettering, and 2) an anti-slip surface to keep your MODEL D from sliding across your desk. The inlay is a small 3D printed part that looks nice as an accent when printed in a separate color. You can either use the included inlay design or download the .f3d version and add your own customization. The anti-slip surface is a simple 3/16 x 5/16 x 1/16 rubber o-ring that mounts in the feet of each riser. Most local hardware stores should have these on hand and you will need 4 in total.

Installation of these features takes place during printing of the main riser, so you will have to insert pauses at the appropriate height when slicing this part. Make sure to pause the print just before the inlay and o-ring grooves begin closing off. There will be two pauses in total. Before placing the parts into the riser it is best to wipe them clean with isopropanol. Finally, make sure the inlay and o-rings are seated completely in their grooves before resuming your print.

PRINTING TIPS
I printed the inlay in PETG and the riser in ASA (both by Polymaker). Material selection is not critical, however, I intentionally avoided PLA since this polymer is relatively brittle and exhibits notable material creep.

If you print the inlay and riser in different materials, make sure they are relatively thermally compatible. A PLA inlay placed several millimeters from a 100 C build surface will probably deform significantly.

A perimeter count of four or greater helps initially secure the inlay and provides bridging support over the o-ring grooves.

Draft shields help purge void space in your extruder after a pause and prevent imperfections on your final part.
