Summary

I love this game! After trying out several tile towers around here, none were just right... Several appeared to dispense tiles, but either didn't, or were unreliable. So I spent a summer designing my own. The end result makes for better game play than passing around a bag.

Features (and bugs)

  • Each tower has a button for easy tile dispensing.
  • There are multiple files, so you don't need to paint the parts.
  • You need some non-3D printed parts (see below)
  • You need some flexible filament (for the window bars)
  • Six towers can serve as storage space for all of the Big Box tiles.
  • Six towers fit into the Big Box using a custom foam liner
  • For a <6-player game, you need to reload the towers mid-game.

You will need:

  • 10mm x 90mm (1/2"x3.5") plastic spring. I got mine from college lab notebooks and office supply stores. One spiral is enough for three towers.

  • 5x6mm cylindrical magnets. For 6 towers you will need 72 magnets.

This is my first large 3D design project. I would like ideas for improvements, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you 3D_Maker_Man for the inspiration!

Edit: I have added a taller tower variant to hold around 70 tiles, by request. Thanks for your feedback!
