This is my second holder model dedicated to espresso cup (my first one is more minimal, give it a look: Espresso cup holder ).

The idea of this model was born some weeks ago after our coffee supplier changed the espresso small plastic cups. The new ones have a much smaller base (my compliments to the designer of such a shame), so that it's very easy for the center of gravity to go outside the base and overturn the cup.
...and that's exactly what happened! It was a question only of time... I had the cup full of coffe on my desk and a small accidental touching of the cup made it overturn... Coffee on all the documents and on my trousers... I still have a pen written analysis page with a brown angle that smells coffee ^_^
So I decided that something had to be done and it ended up in this design.

This cup holder is so handy! I'm using it everyday as it has the following advantages:

• The cup can stay on your desk without the worry to overturn it (the base is so large that the center of gravity cannot go outside it!)
• If you accidentally touch the cup and some coffee spills out of it, in all probability the coffee will accumulate on the bottom dish and not on your desk!
• If the cup is very hot you have a very handy handle (c) that allows to not burn your fingers :)
• You have two notches that allows you to drink from the cup inserted in the holder without your mouth to touch the 3d printed model. So you can use it if you're right or left handed!
• When you walk from the coffee machine to your desk with the cup in the holder there is much less probability to spill some coffee, yay!
• Hey, it's a beautiful design, born from a sleepless night of mine ;)

I'm planning on printing some of them to give them to our office visitors. Those will be for sure a curiosity and conversation starters!

Did I mention that all small cups I've tested fits in there perfectly? No? Well, now I did it!
