When using a scale with the Delonghi Dedicas, space is surely an issue. The scale might fit with smaller Espresso-Cups, but not with my filtercoffe-cup. Handling is a pain in the... also.
There are some solutions out there which increase the width of the base, but thats not helping if you are using a scale.
I meassured the original Delonghi Base and created a smaller version of it. It gives you more space for handling, but not a lot. If you want to increase space even more, you would have to cut parts on the machine or have a morge complex design.
The print you see in the pictures is made of Sunlu PLA+. I did a few iterations till i found a good fit. I wanted to print it in ABS, PETG or so afterwards, but never did that somehow. The top sheet is only warped because of my Espresso-routine.
I start the maschine, and then I let 140ml hot water run through the portafilter (to heat it up) into the milk can can (steel). That warpes the PLA sheet a bit.But you can bend it back again... For the drip tray you can use PLA, there is no severe warping on it.
Print on Bambu
0,2 mm Layerheigt, Sunlu PLA+, 4-6 Layers Wallthickness as always.
Feel free to improve the design
Happy to get likes and comments. Let me know if you have ideas to improve this.
If you are super happy with what i provide for free, it would be super nice if you would leave me a tip. On the road to a working product I go through quite some material. It would just help me out a bit.
