Summary

  • The intention is to suspend a dash cam from the car's roof liner instead of VHB'ing it to the windshield.
  • Material testing in progress:
    • Black ASA on the original 3mm platform has failed on a moderately warm april day.
    • Currently test-driving a 10 mm platform with a strongly reinforced hook in unpigmented ASA, note to self: 20% gyroid, 4 walls
  • Fastened the hinge using self-tapping M3 screws.
  • Added a 90mm wide hook for stability.
  • Before you ask, camera pictured is an iTracker mini0906 from 2018 which is no longer in production.
