Summary

This is a remix of Dragondrummer71’s “Dartboard LED Ring” that requires less material due to thinner parts.

I designed the holder myself in FreeCAD, but I aimed to create it following Eropitx’s design principles for holders.

The holder is specifically designed to fit perfectly around this surround: https://mcdart.de/Surround-mit-Wunschdruck/MC-2012#neonCfg=id_10_1::--id_10_2::--id_10_3:: . I’ve uploaded the FreeCAD files so you can adjust parameters if your surround has different measurements. When the holder fits snugly around the surround, the LED ring is both strong and perfectly round. Additionally, the holder design allows you to remove the surround and light ring together as one piece when you want to rotate your dartboard.

I used 12V LED strips with a 6000K color temperature, which is ideal for this purpose.

To connect the LEDs to a power supply, I designed a holder that accommodates an adapter for plugging in a cable. This ensures the cable doesn’t interfere with the glued LED strip.

The ring consists of 10 parts. I recommend using five holders (one of them with the cable if you want to build it this way). This arrangement strengthens five of the ten connections by the holder, resulting in a more stable ring.
