Dancing Dew Drop is a highly stylized Christmas Ornament / Bauble.

The curve and the transparency give a blown glass look. Add making and elegant and classic look to your decorating.

It is designed to be printed on a resin style printer. The one displayed in the photographs was printed on an Anycubic Photon with clear resin. then washed with acetone and coated with a uv-resistant clear.

The ornament is printed in 2 sections (the eye hook and the onement) and then glued together.

The parts are sized so several full ornaments can be printed at one time on a Anycubic Photon. They are also pre-hollowed out to give the correct strength while optimizing for resin use.

3D PRINTING SETTINGS
Each resin is different. So use the recommended settings for the resin you are using.

The supports shown in our pictures are the ones we use.

The picture was clear resin, with an acetone wash, and a UV resistant clear coat.

Making a translucent print:

We have had some limited success with this. It really depends on how clean you resin is, and how clean your model is, and how many air bubbles form.

With that said, his is how we have done it.
1) The model is pre-hollow out. The slicer leaves behind artifacts that show up as particles after the fact.
2) Make sure there is a drain hole in the bottom of the model. That hold should face the build plat during printing. (this was done in the model)

3) Place supports on the model so that resin can flow out of the model if the build plate is upside down.

4) After the print is done turn the build plat up side down and let as much resin as possible drain out of the model.

5) Cure the model.

6) Assemble the model.

7) Now wash the model with acetone, This gets the sicky off.

8) Coat the model with a UV resistant clear coating. The acetone will etch the out side but the clear coat will take car of it.
