This is an rc version of the Star Wars droid D-O. The wheels operate independently, allowing for normal control. The head can moved forward/backward, tilt up and down, and the neck swivels left and right. This is a simple model compared to other designs and does not use auto balance or anything too complicated. Just servos and an rc controller.
The larger parts, such as the drive wheels and the sidewalls are provided as full size and as broken down versions for printers with build areas of 250x210. These can be glued together before installation. The main center wheel is recommended to be printed as the 2 part type to allow for easy removal.
The base is designed to be filled with cement or other dense material to act as a natural stabilizer. See the attached assembly document for more details.
This requires a 5 channel receiver and transmitter. The wheels are controlled with 2x continuous rotation servos. Two other regular servos are required along with a micro servo for the neck.
