Summary

D’Addario Humidipak™ Two-Way Humidification System Conditioning Packets for guitars can be recharged once they dry out (and get hard) by exposing them to high humidity and allowing them to rehydrate.(1) This device facilitates that process.

Print four of the feet and superglue them to the underside of the rack at the hole locations marked with the rings embossed into the underside of the rack part.

This is designed specifically to fit in a Rubbermaid Brilliance 12-cup sealable storage container.

Add about 0.75" (20mm) of water to the container, insert the rack, drop the Humidipak packets into the rack and seal the lid, then wait a few weeks for rehydration to occur. The suggested water volume is chosen so it's not too high; you don't want the packets to get wet if you move this container and water sloshes around.

(1) I've done the rehydration process once so far, and those rehydrated packs have not yet gone back into the guitar to where I can verify they bring the guitar back up to proper humidity level to convince myself all this works, but it seems it should and I had to try. I don't know how many times this might be posslble. YMMV.
