(NOTE: I had the width of the iPhone 6 wrong. Corrected on 1-May-2016.)
Based on boemeles' iPhone Camera Mount (see the "Derived From" entry), I rebuilt it in OpenSCAD so I could adjust the size of the mount to my tripod and various phones.
The bottom fits a quick-release tripod mount, and the top has a space to slide an iPhone (or other phone with flat front and back) and have it held firmly between two blocks of plastic.
It is customizable in Thingiverse Customizer if your tripod mount or phone have different dimensions than mine.
If You Make A Customized Version
There have been about a hundred customized versions of this, most of them named "My Customized Phone Tripod Mount". Instead, you can just download your customized part in Customizer without publishing your own version. If you do want to publish, could please name your customized version with '[Phone Model] on [Tripod Model] Tripod Mount" it would help everyone... e.g. "Samsung Galaxy 6 on Vista Tripod Mount" Thanks.
