Summary

This is a base with battery, touch sensor, battery charger, and LED light for the Moon Lamp. It is designed to fit an 18650 Li ion battery, but it can be customised to any other size.

Parts used:

Please, build your own circuit only if you know what you are doing. I do not take any responsibility or liability for injuries, or damages, etc. caused by following the steps below. The project uses lithium battery which can cause fire if handled improperly.

Circuit info:

  • Connect the power charger connector to the li ion charger board
  • Connect the LED anode (+) to the resistor
  • Connect the NPN transistor to the touch sensor (connect the base to the output of the touch sensor)
  • Remove (or break) the LED located on the touch sensor board
  • Solder the B jumper of the touch sensor board
  • Connect the NPN transistor to the LED (connect the collector pin to the LED cathode (-) pin)
  • Connect the battery Gnd (-) to:
    • the charger module B (-) or Gnd pin
    • the Touch sensor Gnd pin
    • the NPN transistor emitter pin
  • Connect the battery Vcc (+) to:
    • the charger module B (+) pin
    • the Touch sensor Vcc pin
    • the resistor

Note: The LED diode located on the touch sensor needs to be removed in order to make this work; the B jumper on the touch sensor needs to be soldered
