This thing originally started out as a Christmas light hanging tool but quickly turned into something customizable for many purposes.
This tool screws onto the end of a pole. You put your Christmas lights, wire, string, etc into it and lift it on to a waiting hook.
The default values for the threads has been tested on a broom handle and a long pole from my local hardware store.
Included are two ready-to-print designs. One for hanging lights, and the other for hanging rings (up to 1/8in 3mm thick 5/8in-1.4in 15-36mm wide).
I successfully printed the design without support using a .4mm nozzle and .2mm layer height. I used 50% infill because was worried about strength, but after printing I found that it could be reduced.
This thing uses the thread library from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8793 . I've included the version I used for your convenience.
