This is a simplified version of my Customizable House / Padlock key generator ( www.thingiverse.com/thing:52761 ). This object prints only 5 cylinder Kwikset standard house keys.
There are fewer options to deal with, and I have updated the way the key is "cut" to better match the real key specifications. I found a layout that shows the key depth cutting specs ( www.lsamichigan.org/Tech/Kwikset_KeySpecs.pdf ), but it doesn't have the "channel cutout" specs. If anyone knows where to find those specs, I would be happy to modify the generator to match!
The program is limited to 7 (1-7) cutting steps, as per the specifications. The program does NOT currently support any MACS restrictions (which is 4 for this type of key).
Also, no numbers / text will be printed on the key, if the "polygon count" is set to 3, 4 or 5.
