This is an update to my Christmas ornament I created for last year. I modified to make it work with the customizer. You can set the main text. If the main text is to large to fit, you can change the scale of the text. I wanted to allow the year text to be set as well, but I can't get customizer to work if the input parameter needs to be a string but have a number as it's value, like 2013. You can also somewhat customize the snowman family. You can select how many snowman to generate up to 5. And the gender of each snowman. The way it works is snowman 1 is the largest, snowman 2 is the second largest and so on. So you can make the biggest be a man, the second biggest be a woman, etc.
What I did was to customize the number of snowmen based on the actual number of people in each family I gave it to.
Note: If you leave Enable Support on (the default) you will get little tabs supporting the year digits that you can easily break off. You will also get small support cones that help keep the sphere from detaching from the build plate while printing. Enable Support is misleading, set to "Yes" if you are NOT going to enable support in makerware. This is what I recommend as everything is designed to print without the generated support.
Note2, if you download the scad, you can customize a lot more stuff, including dualstrusion. I didn't enable for customizer because this scad is already too slow to render, enabling dualstrusion would have make it have to render 3 times. It seems to take about 8 - 9 minutes to render currently.
Update: I noticed the file I had uploaded did not respect the setting for number of snowmen. I have updated so that setting works now.
Update 11/9/2014: updated date to 2014
Update 12/11/2015: Fixed issue with customizer. Fixed ability to customize year. Updated year to 2015.
Update 12/9/2016: I noticed the the formatting of the summary was messed up, also somewhere I lost the references to the "things" this was based on.
