This is my idea of a trebuchet that effectively attempts to get as much energy as possible. A normal trebuchet gets its most of its energy from the weight that is added to the arm, I use the same sort of concept but, my design is held in the air and then dropped between the rails, this gives the throwing arm more energy due to the fact that some of the energy from the drop gets transferred to the throwing arm making it go faster. More energy is also given to the item being thrown as before it gets released the weight is suddenly stopped at the bottom. After testing it, it has many flaws, but these can be fixed with some basic changes. These flaws include that after only a few drops the metal rod that holds the throwing arm drastically bend, this can be fixed with the use of a thicker rod, also sometimes when being dropped It does not drop level, this means that the rod can get stuck in the rails, this can also be fixed by just making the bar shorter.
