This part is the connection part between all the other things like the thumb leaver itself the mount to the hadlebar and to the cable. In my personal experience this thing broke on my and i had no other choices so i modeled this currently using it.
I have not tested the version 2.2.
But the 1.1 works but a bit sloppy so i think you can try 2.2 if soemthing is wrong please write about it.
