I just love this tube cutter!
It works great for tubes.
It works great for filaments
And now it works great for Crystal Light on the go packets.
I got hooked on these Crystal Light on the go packets. I like the Lemon Iced Tea. Sometimes though I have a hard time opening them. It seems like sometimes the score lines aren't there and I have to use scissors to cut it open. Now I have a dedicated tool. This works great. I had to revise it several times because the razor blade would just push the packet down into the groove without cutting it. So I got rid of the groove. The razor comes down to a flat spot now so instead of scissoring action or a shear action, now it is more of a pinch action.
Be very careful - use this at your own risk. There is a lot of razor blade sticking out. And use pliers when installing the razor blade. Use common sense - save your fingers!
I printed these in PLA .2 layer 20% infill
If you want precise repeatability, I made a drop in jig. The cutter sits in a pocket and that puts the end stop at 96mm's from the blade. You might end up gluing them together.
This is an impact tool.
