The file 'Credit Card Style Micro SD Holder 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 119.2KB.
Credit card sized holder with slots for 12 Micro SD cards.
A 3D printable redesign of the various Micro SD holders I have purchased and used. This holder is specifically designed for only Micro SD cards and maximizes the number that can be stored in the size of a (3.5 mm thick) credit card.
The Micro SD slides in from the side and is held securely by a catch that can be easily pushed down to release it.
Hopefully the inserting and removal of the SD cards is simple and obvious, though following are a couple of tips that might help:
When being removed, once the edge of the SD card is over the catch, keeping the card pressed against the catch helps it slide smoothly. The card should become free from the holder before the SD card contacts touch the catch, so there should be little worry about the contacts getting scratched up (I wouldn't expect the plastic to cause much scratching, anyway).
The situation is the same for inserting the Micro SD. With the card positioned to go into the holder and with the contacts past the retaining catch, press the card down on the catch and slide the card in until the catch pops up to hold the card in place.
I have provided files for holders with and without "engraved" slot numbers, as well as a small two slot example that can be used to see if the design will work for your printer, filament, and SD cards before spending the time and material to print the twelve slot version.
